Welcome to The Avenir, a $7 billion mixed-use hotel, casino, restaurant, entertainment, and public art complex that will bring transformational benefits to Manhattan’s West Side communities while generating the greatest economic benefit to New York State.

The Avenir will provide thousands of well-paid union jobs and training for local residents; increase security in the neighborhood; drive tourism to local businesses; support the Javits Center next door; and develop thousands of units of much-needed affordable multifamily housing.

The Avenir will include a 1,000-room luxury Hyatt hotel; a world-class casino; over a dozen restaurants and bars, including dining concepts by Danny Meyer and Stephen Starr; and a food hall with favorite local West Side eateries. Additional amenities include a large ground-floor public art gallery for local artists and community use; conference and meeting space; a spa and outdoor skyline pool; and a boutique 150-seat entertainment venue.

THE AVENIR SITE IS IDEAL

We believe The Avenir site – which sits vacant producing no benefit to the community – is the best location in Manhattan for a casino. The site is 92,000 SF of undeveloped land at 41st Street and 11th Avenue, approximately one block north of the Javits Center. The site’s large footprint facilitates the most efficient layouts and adjacencies for the 200,000 SF of gaming floors, easy public access to amenity floors, rooftop pool, and conferencing center, and separate access points for hotel, gaming, food & beverage, and hotel functions.

The Avenir site is fully owned and controlled by our team and is shovel-ready upon being awarded a casino license.

THE AVENIR TEAM

Silverstein Properties and Rush Street Gaming—two family-owned companies with deep roots in the Clinton-Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood—have a shared legacy of thoughtful, community-minded projects. Together, they're building something that will stand the test of time and add value to the neighborhood for generations to come.

Silverstein Properties

Silverstein Properties is widely known for its civic leadership following the events of September 11, 2001, when the company worked with elected officials and local leaders to rebuild the World Trade Center site and revitalize Lower Manhattan. With a long history of city-shaping projects, the company has been a force for progress throughout New York City for 70 years. That same pride, care, and commitment drives The Avenir: a project that honors its surroundings while building toward something greater.

Rush Street Gaming

Rush Street has developed six regional destination casinos, including five which we continues to operate in downtown Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, Portsmouth, the Capital Region of New York, and in the Chicago suburbs. As the leading developer of regional destination casinos in North America, Rush Street Gaming has the expertise to deliver a winning project. Rush Street has developed successful projects from the ground up, and each has become a strong economic engine for its host communities.
