The Avenir will create thousands of great careers. First, it will create 4,000 union construction jobs. Second, once fully operational, The Avenir will have more than 5,000 team members (4,232 full-time equivalents) with 4,037 of those new jobs projected to be full-time and 1,040 projected to be part-time. Third, the median wage (weighted by full-time employees) for team members is projected to be over $50 per hour including tips.
INVESTING IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
The Avenir will work hand-in-hand with local workforce training agencies, education institutions, and partners such as Union Square Hospitality Group’s Hospitality Quotient to prepare the local workforce for these careers. We will target residents in the neighborhood for these jobs by offering job fairs and interview training courses in the lobbies of the residential buildings in our neighborhood.
